This is the first time, Kat and Shahrukh are sharing screen space together and they are leaving no stone untouched to make their reel love scenes an immortal love story on-screen.

Shahrukh and Kajol’s combination is considered Bollywood’s best on-screen jodi but it seems that SRK and Kat are going to make a brand new Bollywood couple. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crosses 200 crore mark

DirectorKabir Khanis basking in the joy as his latest film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ starringKatrina Kaifand Salman Khan in the lead has crossed the 200 crore mark. Released on Independence Day, August 15^th ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ made a history of biggest opening in Bollywood. It also made a record of fastest 100.

Kabir Khan had also thrown a big bash to mark the success of the movie. He said that he is very happy that his film crossed the 200 crore mark at the box-office but also said that there is more to films than just numbers.

Combination of good script and ear-soothing songs made the film the biggest opener of 2012. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s jodi really done wonder.

The way the film ended, it leaves a scope for the sequel but Kabir Kahn as well as Yash Raj banner refused any such plan.

“We have not thought of a sequel for 'Ek Tha Tiger'. We don't have any idea (story line) for the sequel," Kabir informed.

Yash Raj banner also denied the chance of sequel "With the success of the film, it would be the obvious conclusion for anybody to assume that the film deserves a sequel. However, as of now, there are no such plans and it is more conjecture," Yash Raj Films' vice president (marketing and communications) Rafiq Gangjee said. 

'Ek Tha Tiger' is an action thriller with an intense love story of an ISI agent and RAW agent at the backdrop.

Raaz 3’ spoils ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ business

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which entered into it’s fourth week and which has made a huge collection of 194.84 crores in it’s third week gets effected by Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz 3’ release. Bipasha Basu, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta starrer ‘Raaz 3’ made an opening collection of 11.05 crore.

Speaking about opening day collections, Adarsh tweeted, "#Raaz3 *India* Thu previews 58 lacs, Fri 10.47 cr. Total: 11.05 cr nett. Extra-ordinary. Bhatts, Emraan & @bipsluvurself 's biggest opener!"

The film also made a remarkable business in the overseas. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about it’s overseas collection. "#Raaz3 *UK* Fri £ 19,750, Sat £ 29,206. Total: £ 48,956 (Rs 43,35,846). Has crossed #Jannat2 *opng wknd total* £ 35,892 in 2 days!".

"#Raaz3 *Australia* Thu A$ 4,109, Fri A$ 9,955, Sat A$ 17,612. Total: A$ 31,676 (Rs 18,16,469). Excellent jump on Saturday!"

Adarsh tweeted that, "#Raaz3 Sunday was rocking. Multiplexes, single screens better than Friday and Saturday."

Despite mixed reviews from critics, ‘Raaz 3’ marks first weekend collection of Rs 35-36 crore.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Student of the year’ poster unveiled by Karan Johar

Alia Bhatt seems to be in the limelight. Dharma productions, has recently released a spate of posters of the movie “Student of the Year”. Alia Bhatt features in one of the latest posters.

Karan released the first teaser poster on Tweeter. Recently, three posters have been released. One features three students with their back towards the camera and the other shows newcomer Siddharth Malhotra.

Alia plays the role of Sanaya in the movie. The trailer of the movie will be released on August 2. The hype generated by the posters has created the anticipation for the movie. It seems the energetic and innocent youthful charm is being brought together by director Karan Johar.  

Alia is the daughter of film maker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Deepika, Kareena and Priyanka continue to sizzle the silver screen. But the film industry likes to bring in new faces that look fresh and are talented. She had been signed by Karan Johar for this upcoming movie ‘Student of the Year’.

Though Alia is making her official debut with ‘Student of the Year’, she has acted as a child artist in the movie ‘Sangharsh’, directed by Tanuja Chandra, which starred Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta, in 1999.

‘Student of the Year’ also feature other debutants, like Varun Dhawan (Son of Director David Dhawan), Kayoze Irani (son of actor Boman Irani), and newcomer Siddharth Malhotra. It also features Kayoze’s father Boman Irani. Actor Rishi Kapoor plays the role of a gay, as Dean Yoginder Vasisht.

The film was shot at Dehradun’s Kasiga School, the name of which has been changed in the movie to St. Tersesa School. The film has also been shot in Shimla, Kashmir and Thailand.

The movie is slated to be released on October 11^th. One of the posters showed three students sitting on a bench. Their jerseys had the numbers 19, 10, 12. This indicated the releasing date of the movie. Karan is co-producing this movie with Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chilies Entertainment. Though, SRK does not appear in a major role in the movie, it is rumored that Shahrukh and Kajol will make a guest appearance in the movie. The movie went on floors on August 16^th, 2011 by socialite Paremeshar Goodrej. Karan Johar turned director for this movie after a long time. He last directed the movie ‘My name is Khan’ in 2008.

Anushka Sharma vs Deepika Padukone for Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’!

That Salman Khan is at the very crest of his Bollywood career is general knowledge! Not only directors and producers, even leading actresses from Bollywood want to work with Salman Khan! The latest we hear is that both Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone want to star in Kick! 

While Kick was recently in the news after the ouster of Shirish Kunder from the film, seems like if it is a Salman Khan film, it would stay in the news anyway!

With back-to-back hits, actor Emraan Hashmi’s success ratio is being compared to that of blockbuster king Salman Khan. Emraan says it's an honour to be compared to the star. 

"I hope my films keep becoming hits, and being compared to Salman is a huge honour," the 33-year-old said here Sunday at a theatre during the screening of Raaz 3. 

However, he feels he still has a long way to go. 

"I think I have got a lot of work to do, I have been in the industry for just nine years. He is a senior and very encouraging," added Emraan. 

Emraan Hashmi’s recent films - Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Murder 2, The Dirty Picture, Jannat 2 and Shanghai, received a fairly good response at the box office, and his latest movie Raaz 3, which released Friday, also got a good opening. 

Meanwhile, when asked why he features in only bold films, Emraan said: "No one gives me such (universal) films. When someone gives me a universal subject, I'll do it." 

Emraan's forthcoming films include Ghanchakkar , Ek Thi Daayan and Unglee.
